INTRODUCING JESSE'S HOUSE, A HAVEN FOR PARENTS & CHILDREN IN LONDON

LITTLE HOUSES GROUP TO OPEN PARSONS GREEN FAMILY CLUB: A HAVEN FOR PARENTS AND TECHNICOLOUR PARADISE FOR CHILDREN

Introducing Jesse’s House, Jaego’s House’s little brother, opening this July in West London

With their three little children - Jaego, Jesse and Orly - in tow, the reality of navigating London as a parent hit for Charlie Gardiner and his wife, Lucy: the chaos of a pub lunch, packing kids up and darting around London for different activities, and freezing misery of outdoor playgrounds. And so, his Little Houses Group of family clubs were born – joyful, jam-packed paradises for kids and parents alike, all in one place and in one affordable monthly fee.

This July, Little Houses’ latest outpost, Jesse’s House, will open in Parsons Green - a bustling community in this leafy corner of the capital - designed for tired parents in need to reconnect and recharge. Highlights of the new House include an indoor pool (with swim school for babies to 10-year-olds), a covered outdoor pool, Reformer Pilates studio and wellness offerings, huge courtyard with playground to let off steam, plus the choice of football and playball on the mini sports pitch.

Named after Charlie’s second child, Jesse’s House joins their first club, Jaego’s House which launched in Kensal Rise in 2022.  “For most of us, it’s great to find somewhere that kids like visiting just as much as the parents do and that’s exactly how we want our guests to feel about Jesse’s House,” says Charlie. “Here families will find reassuringly noisy sanctuaries, where children can dive into the jungle gym in full scream, sink into a beanbag in the kids’ cinema room or go wild in TARKA and other kids’ classes.”

“After such positive feedback about Jaego’s House, Parsons Green’s family-friendly atmosphere feels like the perfect next location - we can’t wait to open our doors in West London this summer.”

JESSE’S HOUSE

If you’re feeling the weight of the proverb ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ and find yourself longing for support as the next tantrum looms, look no further than Jesse’s House.

With its laid-back Mediterranean-inspired interiors, it will serve as your ready-made saving grace. Whether it’s in the Ofsted-registered adjoining Parson’s House Nursery, crèche & Kids’ Club (with resting performers cranking up the entertainment for babies through to little kids) or the relaxed Den for pre-teens; childcare and entertainment are on tap, which means you can make a beeline for the adult-only Study & Co-work space complete with soundproofed phone booths, turn up the heat in the spin studio or opt straight for a martini on the terrace.

At Jesse’s House, find a state-of-the-art gym, packed schedule of classes for the full endorphin rush, including Reformer Pilates, HIIT, Barre and more – and changing rooms where you’ll want to bask and unwind after a sweat session, complete with hairdryers, shampoo and conditioner, and fresh towels. Treatment rooms are also to hand to enjoy true ‘me time’, from indulgent massages and facials, waxing and eyebrows to physiotherapy and women’s pelvic health, and much more.

Together with the glorious covered outdoor pool, the Little House Swim School will be taking over the indoor pool, to provide a lesson programme led by the groups Head of Swim and former team GB swimmer, Sophie Allin. The pool is available to all for casual swimming fun in between the classes for the whole family.

For the kids there’s an equally heady timetable: with over 70 classes a week from cooking classes to football, smoothie making to baby ballet, circus skills to baby massage and, of course, plenty of messy play. There’s even a class for the budding scientists amongst your family – plus a dose of magic from kids’ club pros, Sharky & George.

In the thick of the juggle, it’s the Little House clubs and their tiny attention to detail that counts, such as the covered buggy drop-off and quiet corners in the living room to lower the tempo with a selection of puzzles and books.

Refuel in Lucy’s, the main restaurant with a Mediterranean spin, and rest easy with the help of the play corner, so no one’s begging for screens while you wait. The terrace overlooks the playground so you can enjoy a glass of wine in the sun, whilst the kids are in the playground.

Cooked in an open kitchen, menus are designed by Executive Chef Eryk Bautista, formerly of Cadogan Arms and La Petite Maison, and Head Chef, Bartosz Bogucki (previously at Aquavit and Studio Frantzen) – think Salmon Tartare, Orzo Puttanesca and Poached Sea Bass. Meanwhile, little ones can enjoy a selection of dishes crafted by Lune + Wild, from baby purees through to toddler meals including shepherd’s pie, chicken pie and Mexican bean chilli.

And, for urgently hungry mouths, pick up a bite from the ‘Grab & Go’ courtyard café. Fresh juices, coffee and light bites for the adults, plus a children’s menu that your beige-food friends will actually eat (macaroni with cheese sauce, carrot sticks on the side and a blueberry and banana muffin as a sweet fix perhaps). There are also savvy ‘one-handed’ options for multi-tasking parents, pureed food for weaning babies and a handy Milk Bar – so no more flustered fumbling with formula.

And when the wheels do come off? You’re safe in a community of parents navigating this ride together. As Charlie says: “There’s no such thing as too much mess or noise”.

Members can choose from a range of packages, whether it’s a general access option (starts from £125* per adult / £42* per child per month) with pay as you go add-ons, or the all-inclusive (starts from £165* per adult / £65* per child per month) with unlimited crèche and kids’ club hours, and any studio kids’ or fitness adult classes.  *lead-in prices include weekday access. Memberships include access to all club facilities, plus free kids, fitness, and spin classes, childcare in the Crèche & Kids’ Club, and more.
