Sand & Stone Escapes launches Wood Farm House

Exclusive to Sand & Stone Escapes this beautiful restored farmhouse in the North Cotswolds village of Whichford sleeps 10 and has been beautifully designed by top interior designer Millie Turner

Sand & Stone Escapes is thrilled to unveil its newest gem, Wood Farm House, set in the picturesque village of Whichford and surrounded by rolling countryside. The stunning property offers proximity to quintessential Cotswolds towns such as Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold as well as everything you could need for total relaxation or all-out celebration in one space.

With interiors meticulously curated by Millie Turner Designs, the House & Garden-listed guru has turned the five-bedroom Cotswolds farmhouse into a space with so much charm it could be mistaken for a small hotel. By combining clever colour combinations with both traditional and modern elements, Millie’s work results in a timeless and elegant look. She has kitted Wood Farm House out with bespoke furniture, opulent marble-topped kitchen cabinets, and a dedicated bar space for crafting the perfect cocktails as well as a walk-in larder from your wildest dreams stocked for culinary adventures.

There are smart touches everywhere, including a gorgeous Sophie Cooney runner on the stairs, slipper chairs upholstered in Lewis & Wood Bukhar in Tea Rose fabric and an eclectic mix of antiques that Millie sourced from various antique fairs across the country, and artwork sourced from Studio Ham. A bunk room for children has an adorable built-in staircase with a hidden bookcase for exploring little ones and the ceiling and walls of the twin bedroom in the eaves are completely covered in a contemporary floral-patterned wallpaper from Ottoline Guirland. The downstairs bathrooms is wrapped in Soane Scrolling Fern Silhouette and there’s even a secret cinema room discreetly tucked behind a concealed door.

This beautiful rental is just the ticket for groups of friends and families and is perfectly located for some of the Cotswolds hottest destinations. You’re just walking distance from locals’ fav Whichford Pottery which hosts frequent workshops and courses, and be sure to check out their cafe, The Straw Kitchen, for delicious brunches and homemade goodies with a view.

Foodies will delight here, whether cooking up a storm on organic produce from Daylesford Farmshop or Todenham Manor Farm, or indulging in a catered meal by The Cotswold Guy.

Nearby culinary highlights include The Fox at Oddington which celebrates local produce and serves up anything from pizzas to Hereford sirloin on the bone. As well as The Cellar in Stow-on-the-Wold, a small plates restaurant and wine bar with a selection of delicious organic, biodynamic and natural wines; and The Fox Inn at Broadwell another brilliant pub serving unfussy food in a charming characterful setting.

This is an idyllic escape for celebratory soirées and cherished family get-togethers, while its luxury and serene surroundings create a perfect backdrop for unforgettable moments.
