KURO EATERY OPENS IN NOTTING HILL

KURO EATERY OPENS IN NOTTING HILL

Kuro Eatery has now joined Notting Hill’s vibrant dining scene as a new 30 cover all day dining restaurant. Julian Victoria and Jacob Van Nieuwkoop, the duo behind popular coffee house Kuro which opened in 2021 in London’s Notting Hill, have expanded their offering to include several sites on the corner of Hillgate Street – Kuro Eatery and a separate Bakery to follow in November – to further serve the community from morning till night.

Kuro Eatery has the same minimalist vibe regulars have come to know and love and is open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week with dinner currently served Thursday – Saturday.

The opening is headed up by chef, Andrianos Poulis whose CV spans stints at Rovi in Fitzrovia, Cornerstone in Hackney and Mazi in Notting Hill.  The menu plays to Poulis’s passion for simple and clean flavours with uncomplicated small plates utilising the very best seasonal produce available. Inspired by his Greek heritage and a particular love of fish, Poulis’s menu showcases a melting pot of international and Mediterranean flavours.

‘I used to work at Mazi in Notting Hill and would always swing by Kuro for their delicious coffee. I met Jacob and Julian and loved the vibe they had created in their place. I knew if they ever opened a restaurant that I wanted to be there and to be a part of it.’ Head Chef, Andrianos Poulis.

KURO KIOSK SOON BECOMES KURO BAKERY…

Plans are also afoot to transform the existing Kuro Kiosk (currently an independent magazine store) on Notting Hill High St into a bakery, offering delicious baked breads and pastries, made fresh each day.

The bakery will be headed up by Nicolas Ruty who joins from The Savoy where he was Head Baker. Ruty is a third-generation baker from Burgundy and will be offering freshly baked sourdough, pastries (including seasonal, filled croissants and Danish delicacies) and traditional Japanese milk bread Shokupan.

Set to launch in November, The Bakery will be open Tuesday – Saturday 10am-5pm and will also look to provide freshly baked goods to other businesses across West London.
